The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives hereby gives public notice that it is the policy of this agency to assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the 1994 General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky Senate Bill 248 and August 2000 Presidential Executive Order 13166.|
All grantees and subgrantees obtaining Federal financial assistance through KDLA certify that they comply with all Federal and state statutes relating to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color or national origin, including national origin discrimination affecting Limited English Proficient persons.
Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with KDLA. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with KDLA within 180 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
