Programming Kit​s

​​The State Library offers a variety of programming kits guaranteed to satisfy your patrons and stretch your programming dollars. There are kits for all ages, in a variety of genres and themes. All kits are listed in the KDLA Catalog. Check the individual records for plot summaries, kit contents, and age levels. See our main Kits page for details.

Circulating Collection​s

​​​The State Library administers two circulating programs to interested Kentucky public libraries. Both programs offer library materials in a wide array of titles and genres that can be used to meet the needs of their communities without expending their own budget resources.

​Circulating Audiobo​ok Program

The State Library provides audiobooks to interested public libraries. These audiobooks circulate for a maximum of four months. The receiving library has the discretion to select the number of audiobooks (from 10 to 40) and the variety of genres it would like to have included. Public libraries interested in participating in this program should contact Deborah Hibbard at Deborah.Hibbard@ky.gov.

Circulating Large Print Books Program

The State Library provides large print books to interested public libraries. These large print books circulate for four months. The receiving library has the discretion to select the number of large print books (from 50 to 250) and the variety of genres it would like to have included. Public libraries interested in participating in this program should contact Deborah Hibbard at Deborah.Hibbard@ky.gov.

Circulating Large Print Collections are shipped through the KYVL Courier. Collections larger than 175 books will be sent in two separate shipments. For questions about the KYVL Courier, please contact the Kentucky Virtual Library: kyvl@ky.gov, 844-400-5985 (toll-free).
