KRS 132.487 requires that libraries with taxing authority submit the Motor Vehicle & Watercraft Tax Rate to the KY Revenue Cabinet by October 1st each year. Although this rate stays the same each year—the maximum tax rate that could be levied was set in 1983—the board will still need to adopt this rate and send the completed form to the KY Revenue Cabinet.
