​​​​​​​​​The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) supports expanded education and training for library staff to help them provide the best possible library services.

Library Science Tuitio​​​n Scholarship

For full-time and part-time Kentucky public library staff. May be used for undergraduate and graduate library science college courses. Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, November 13, 2023.


Graduate School Tuiti​​on Reimbursement Grant

The purpose of this grant is to encourage Kentucky public library and KDLA staff members as they pursue the Master of Library and Information Studies (or equivalent) degree. The award amount per recipient is up to $2,000 per academic term. 


Financial Assistance for Library & Informati​​​on Studies (ALA)

An annual directory of awards from state library agencies, national and state library associations, local libraries, academic institutions, and foundations who give some form of financial assistance for undergraduate and/or graduate education programs in library and information studies.
