The Kentucky Public Library Standards: Direction and Service for the 21st Century is a self-assessment tool for libraries that covers seven key areas: governance and administration, human resources, collections, services, facilities, technology, and marketing/public relations. Libraries use the Standards to help make their library the best it can be. It was developed by the Kentucky Public Library Association in cooperation with Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives.
