The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) supports expanded education and training for library staff to help them provide the best possible library services.


2020 Computers in Libraries Conference

We are now accepting applications for reimbursement scholarships for the 2020 Computers in Libraries Conference in Arlington, VA. For full-time Kentucky public library staff. Applications must be emailed no later than Friday, January 31, 2020, and the original, signed paper must also be mailed.


Library Science Tuition Scholarship

For full-time and part-time Kentucky public library staff. May be used for undergraduate and graduate library science courses. Applications must be postmarked by Thursday, October 31, 2019.


Financial Assistance for Library & Information Studies (ALA)

An annual directory of awards from state library agencies, national and state library associations, local libraries, academic institutions, and foundations who give some form of financial assistance for undergraduate and/or graduate education programs in library and information studies.
