The KET Lending Library is a partnership between Kentucky Educational Television and the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives. It allows Kentucky early childhood professionals to obtain video or DVD series of child care training programs through their local public libraries. By watching the programs and then completing the corresponding coursework, early childhood professionals earn credits toward state licensing requirements.
Early childhood professionals must request the training titles through their local public library and coursework directly from KET. Once contacted, public library staff may request the titles through the OCLC Interlibrary Loan system or by completing the State Library’s
Kit Request Form. All Lending Library titles are listed in the
KDLA Catalog. To locate the kits, type in the search terms “KET lending library” (quotes included) from the Basic Search screen page. You can also find a list of titles on KET’s
Lending Library webpage.
More information can be found on KET’s
ChildCare Training website. All patron inquiries about the KET child care training program should be directed to Susan Hines-Bricker at
