The State Library offers a variety of programming kits guaranteed to satisfy your patrons and stretch your programming dollars. There are kits for all ages, in a variety of genres and themes. All kits are listed in the
KDLA Catalog. Check the individual records for plot summaries, kit contents, and age levels.
KDLA is in the process of implementing a software program called KitKeeper that will make scheduling programming and book discussion kits much easier. It will allow Kentucky public libraries to see which kits are available for a particular date and reserve titles themselves. KDLA staff is entering any titles that you already have scheduled into the system so that you will not have to re-request them.
At this time, as those schedules are being entered, we are only taking kit requests for asap situations and/or August shipping dates. Please hold on to any kit requests for September or later. KDLA will conduct trainings in mid-late August on this new reservation system with the goal of having it fully operational for public library staff by early September. Training dates will be scheduled by region, and announced via the listservs, social media, and on our website. Emails will also be sent out by distribution list.

KET Lending Library:
KET is in the process of phasing out older content and will no longer offer child care training courses with DVDs and/or VHS tapes after June 30, 2022. As a result, we will be deaccessioning the KET Lending Library at that time. All KET materials will be disposed of and their records removed from our catalog. If you have patrons who inquire about program materials after June 30, please direct them to the KET Early Childhood Professional Development.
