It will review how to search for materials and cover the steps you take to download audiobooks and eBooks.

The EBSCOhost database suite has everything for your “need to know” – 26 databases with full text access to newspapers, magazines, professional journal articles, including thousands of peer-reviewed titles, encyclopedia entries, quality, up-to-date medical information, and the list goes on and on! We’ll discuss each of the databases, and explore how to search both a single database and multiple databases simultaneously, how to set up a personal account, capture results, and arrange alerts so you can follow a topic of interest. This training session provides an overview of KYVL’s CINAHL with Full Text database. It includes publications from the National League for Nursing, the American Nurses’ Association and much more. Database content includes information on nursing biomedicine, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. This is a “must” class for nurses, nurse educators, allied health professionals and researchers.

Both MAS Ultra and Middle Search Plus are part of the Kentucky Virtual Library’s collection of research databases. Intended for high school libraries, MAS Ultra contains full text for top magazines including Car and Driver, Congressional Digest, Economist, National Geographic, Popular Science, Science News, Sports Illustrated, Time, and much more. Middle Search Plus is designed for middle school libraries, offering full text for popular middle school magazines such as Astronomy, Field and Stream, Motor Trend, Newsweek, People, Popular Mechanics, and more.
