Course Description

This one hour online training will provide an in-depth look at Newsbank, a database that provides full-text access to over 500 U.S. newspapers, including 15 from Kentucky. Flexible searching even makes finding the "needle in a haystack" possible. Updated daily, Newsbank provides easy desktop access to the news of the day.

Content
Format
Techniques for effective searching
Searching multiple states
Setting up personal accounts
Email alerts

KDLA offers these courses free to Kentucky State Employees.

Certificates of Training will be emailed to you following the session.

Delivery Method:

These hour long classes will be conducted online with GoToMeeting software. This is free software that is downloaded to your personal computer and may be removed after the class. With this software, the attendee will be able to view the presentation on their computer and listen to the instructor on the telephone.

Limitations:

Only Kentucky State Employees are eligible to register.
There is a maximum of 24 persons total per class.
