Guidelines for Managing Electronic Mail
Explains best practices and procedures state and local agencies should follow to properly manage their e-mail as a public record, in accordance with Enterprise Standard 4060 (for state agencies) and the records retention schedules. While records management for e-mail is essentially the same as for corresponding paper documents, the technical considerations necessary to manage e-mail require guidelines specific to the media.
