***Announcement: The staff at the State Records Center is pleased to be able to offer efficient copying and delivery of state agency records for the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. So that we can continue offering those services, on Thursday February 15, 2007, charges for copies of records will be $10.00. That $10.00 includes up to eighteen pages and postage for one order. Also beginning Thursday February 15, 2007, the staff will ask for prepayment before completing a copy request for private entities such as private citizens or businesses. Staff will not ask for prepayment for copying services from public entities such as state administrative agencies or circuit court clerks. We understand that patrons often need a copy of a record in short order. To facilitate a quick turnaround, the Records Center will begin accepting payment by credit card or debit card (but not by ATM card) on that date. If you have any questions, please call Jim Cundy, Manager, State Records Branch at 502-564-8300, ext. 237. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.***

Information/Services for Government Records Managers

Every office creates records, whether in paper, film, electronic or in some other format; the effort in maintaining these can be a burden. The Records Management Services at KDLA can help organizations decide which ones to keep and which ones to destroy in accordance with the requirements of Kentucky’s State Archives and Records Act, KRS 171.410-171.740.
