Course Description

Working with media outlets to promote advocacy in your community may not be as easy as it sounds. There are specific skills you must possess and certain tools to have at the ready in order to successfully promote your library and shape public opinion about libraries in general. Attend this 2 hour distance learning session to learn what media attention can and can't do for your library! This is the fourth (and last!) in a series of our classes in the advocacy track.

Intended Audience:

Anyone interested in learning how to communicate with the media to promote advocacy.

Registration to this free of charge class is limited to two people from each library system. While this is an online class, it is live and there are only 15 seats available. If you were paying for this session it would cost $120 per person. Registration will be accepted on a first come first served basis. The registration deadline is two weeks prior to the session.
