This service is designed to assist public librarians with questions related to library science, research of Kentucky topics, reference look-up, and general research assistance.
Automation
Offers suggestions as well as state guidelines for starting a library's automation process.
Bookmobiles and Outreach Services
Receive assistance with bookmobile acquisition and maintenance.
Certification
Instruction on how to obtain Kentucky Public Librarian Certification. Includes listings of program requirements, regulations, an online manual, application forms, and frequently asked questions.
Children's and Young Adult Services
Resources for public librarians serving infants, toddlers, children and young adults, with listings of suggested trainers, performers and presenters for various topics related to children's and young adult services, and purchases for Children's and Young Adult book collections.

Kentucky Resource Sharing Program
KDLA supports all types of libraries in the Commonwealth in their missions of providing information to their customers: the citizens. This is accomplished by supporting basic resource sharing programs and partnering and working closely with the Kentucky Virtual Library.

Public Library Codes
Codes needed to complete the first form (470) that must be filed by a school or library in the E-rate application process as specified by the FCC in the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
Public Library Standards
A manual describing public library standards developed by the Kentucky Library Association (KLA) and the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives on such topics as voluntary participation, varied service levels and ease of use.
Public Library Statistics
A summary of library statistics for the most recent year, and comparisons with the three prior years in various per capita library measures, including county by county library statistics in 88 categories, a select group of statistics arranged in order of county population and a cross-index of county and item numbers for specific county statistics. Includes the Kentucky Public Library Salary and Benefits Survey comparing libraries based on population served and revenues received.
