The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) supports expanded education and training for library staff to help them provide the best possible library services. KDLA offers two competitive financial aid opportunities.
Library Science Tuition Scholarship
For full-time and part-time public library staff
working toward their initial certification. May be used for undergraduate and
graduate courses. Applications must be postmarked by Monday, October 31, 2016.
The Graduate School Tuition Reimbursement Grant
For full-time public library staff pursuing their Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited school. Next grant cycle is Fall, 2017.
Financial Assistance for Library & Information Studies (ALA)
An annual directory of awards from state library agencies, national and state library associations, local libraries, academic institutions, and foundations who give some form of financial assistance for undergraduate and/or graduate education programs in library and information studies.
