Federal Government Publications

The Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives is a selective federal depository library. KDLA selects materials from federal agencies that have the greatest impact on Kentucky, including:

• Census data
• Environmental reports
• Scientific and technical reports
• Agricultural data
• Economic data
• Criminal justice statistics
• Educational materials
• Congressional reports

Federal government publications are available for check out for a period of four weeks with a possible two week renewal. Customers may check out up to fifty federal publications, and these materials may be sent to state government employees in Frankfort via messenger mail. For employees outside Frankfort, materials will be mailed to their state offices. Return postage is included.

Use the KDLA Catalog to search for federal government publications. If a version of the publication is available online, the "Internet Access" field near the bottom of the screen will provide a link to the publication.
